Celtics defeat Cavaliers

The Boston Celtics have defeated the Clevelend Cavaliers in game 7, 97-92. It was a very close game to the battle to the end, an end for the Cavaliers who put up an outstanding effort to even force a game 7 after being down in the series 2-0 agianst one of the elite teams this year. This was a true battle between two star players from opposing teams Paul Pierce from the Celtics and Lebron "The King" James from the Cavs. Paul Pierce carried the team offensively scoring 26 points in the first half giving the Celtics a 10 point lead at the end of the half. Pierce finished the game with a high of 41 points. Of course other key players contributed to the win like Kevin "Big Ticket" Garnett who achieved a double, double scoring 13 points with 13 boards. The Celtics defense was excellent as well but they did encounter problems with locking down star player Lebron James. James who was determined to keep fighting until the very end scored a game high of 45 points. But the Celtics only allowed one other player to score double figures and that was point guard Delonte West who scored only 15 points. James brought the score to a deficit of only one point at a point in the game but Pierce kept firing away hitting two big free throws that sealed the deal for the game. The Celtics now move on to the next round to face another tuff team the Detroit Pistons.
